Hey guys,

We are planning on releasing CW 1.2.0.2 around the first week of July. This is mostly a maintenance release with bug fixes and a few new features. An option to install the CW sounds will be provided as well.

I’ve created a 1.2.0.2 milestone, so if you have a ticket that you think needs to be included in this release, please change the target to 1.2.0.2.

We’ll also be holding a meeting to discuss a roadmap of what exactly should be included in 1.2.1 and in 1.2.2, etc. The date will be announced later.

A big thank you for everyone in the CW community, from core coders to testers to new users!

Yes, I know it is and it has. A few of the last minute things have taken longer than expected. But 1.2.0.2 will be that much better. As soon as I have a solid ETA, I'll announce it.

not quite boris. for example me :) I am am still working on it. srtp/tls for SIP (see the srtp_tls branch) and chan_lcr for Euro BRI/PRI-ISDN are in development. The CW development is decelerated, but CW is not dead until min. one singel user it is using it. And if you also use CW, we are two users now :) And everybody who provide a patch in the ticket system, please still do it. The patches will not gone lost

I am very concerned about Callweaver, there is someone who tell us something new about the new release?

Hello Stefano, dont be concerned. Since spandsp-0.0.6pre3 is out there, there should be a new release coming. But you can always catch the latest RC yourself with : http://devs.callweaver.org/1.2_snapshots/callweaver-RC-latest.tar.gz Just watch: http://www.callweaver.org/changesets to see whats inside. Callweaver releases are like Debian releases. It's done when it's done :)

At first read i thought that 1.2.0.2 is slated for July 2009... This is really disturbing. I was expecting this community to grow, as the market explodes for such applications. But it has relatively no documentation, and looks like there is no real lead to drive this community. It's not enough to have grate feature, you also need users to use it and grow the community. Well, I hope someone takes the lead here and that things will get better.
